POSITION SUMMARY

Product Specialists at Noa Botanicals are responsible for patient and caregiver intake, product transactions, and providing excellent customer service to a variety of audiences. The Product Specialist must maintain a thorough understanding of medical marijuana varieties, derivatives, and infused products based on current offerings in the Hawaii market and current cannabis science. This position provides superior customer service and educational guidance to registered patients and caregivers. The Product Specialist must maintain a professional appearance, organized work environment, and dispensary appearance. The Product Specialist reports directly to the Dispensary Lead and Dispensary Store Manager.

CORE JOB DUTIES (including but not limited to)

Customer Service & Sales: 

  • Greet patients and caregivers as they enter the dispensary. Provide exceptional service for new and returning patients, anticipate and answer any questions they may have, and provide outstanding new patient guidance.
  • Obtain the appropriate documentation from each patient and caregiver at every visit, ensuring the validity of his or her identification and registration with the State.
  • Record each visit using the patient management software, ensuring the accuracy of customer and caregiver information, and recording notes if necessary.
  • Observe and maintain all applicable patient confidentiality requirements.
  • Communicate with management to maintain a steady customer traffic flow to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Meet and exceed set sales goals.
  • Respond to and resolve customer requests, complaints, or compliments in person, through email, and on the phone, escalating for supervisor support as needed.
  • Maintain organization of records, desk space, dispensary, and waiting room through daily upkeep and light cleaning. 

Medical Marijuana Education & Guidance: 

  • Maintain knowledge of all applicable state and local laws, all medicine, products, and services provided, as well as documentation processes in accordance with the State of Hawaii. 
  • Maintain a basic understanding of the medicine, products and services provided at Noa Botanicals.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on medicating options and methods, strain information, medicine effectiveness for specific ailments, and cultivation methods.
  • Record specific requests, preferences, and notes concerning the customer and caregiver registration status using the patient management software. 

Processing Transactions: 

  • Collect payment and process transactions after order verification.
  • Apply transaction amount to each customer’s allocated amount in accordance with state and local law.
  • Prepare and build patient and caregiver online and pre-orders. 

Documentation: 

  • Prepare documents as needed to assist customers’ intake and registration within our dispensary.
  • Ensure accurate information is recorded for all patient and caregiver registration, sales, and preferences; and follows all guidelines issued by the State.
  • Communicate inventory levels with the Dispensary Lead and Store Manager to maintain accurate menus and update menus as needed.
  • Assist in audit and inventory tasks as assigned.

  • 2-3 years of related customer service experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager. This role will be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities and other related financial activities. This will include working collaboratively with the Accounting Team to identify opportunities to increase the value of Noa Botanicals. As an entrepreneurial company, this person will need to be a “roll up your sleeves individual” collaborating with individuals at all levels of the organization.

CORE JOB DUTIES (includes but not limited to)

  • Supports the organization’s health with financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
  • Prepares & reconciles monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
  • Prepares and reports daily sales figures to Leadership Team
  • Prepares and posts month close journal entries
  • Prepares monthly KPI’s
  • Maintains prepaid schedules and general ledger
  • Assists with monthly & quarterly financial reporting
  • Assists and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
  • Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

POSITION SUMMARY

The Cultivation Specialist is responsible for the cultivation of one or more medical cannabis gardens, under the direction of the Cultivation Manager and Cultivation Leads. The Packaging Specialist assists in monitoring and maintaining plant production and health. They are also responsible for maintaining quality control measures to ensure a high-quality product, as well as assisting with the organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of the cultivation areas. The Cultivation Specialist carries out day-to-day plant care, including watering, pruning, harvesting, and trimming. They monitor and maintain plant production and quality control measures in accordance with the state and standards set by Mānoa Botanicals.

CORE JOB DUTIES (includes but not limited to)

Plant Care:

  • Measures and mixes nutrient and plant applications and applies these mixtures according to Noa Botanicals policy
  • Ensures plant health by pruning, topping, trimming, scouting, repotting, trellising, and analyzing plant health according to Noa Botanicals policy, as well as any other tasks required.
  • Assists Cultivation Manager with rotation of strains through the garden to ensure variety and quantity for dispensary locations.

Facility Cleaning:

  • Performs all assigned duties required to ensure a clean and safe cultivation facility. If you notice something that is a hygienic hazard to product or employees, notify your supervisor immediately.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of all cultivation equipment and tools, including light reflectors, containers, mixing tools, application tools, and ventilation equipment.
  • Strictly adheres to company’s standard of sanitation and cleanliness
  • Maintains a clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Practices company guidelines in microbial (mold) prevention
  • Maintains cleanliness of Cultivation facility
  • Sweeping and Mopping
  • Sanitizing all hard surfaces, including tables and walls
  • Maintains proper dress code

Cultivation Dress Code includes:

  • White Lab Coat or Scrubs
  • Hairnet, Face mask & Gloves
  • All protective lab apparel will be provided by Mānoa Botanicals
  • Standard company dress code applies

Reports & Documentation: 

  • Assists the Cultivation Manager with tracking plants from birth to harvest by ensuring proper and accurate documentation for applicable activities
  • Ensures accurate documentation of all plant tracking numbers, lot numbers, and all other applicable information
  • Documents, according to Mānoa Botanicals policy, the application of all nutrients and/or substances applied to any plant located within the Cultivation facility

POSITION SUMMARY

The Packaging Specialist is responsible for executing packaging and labeling tasks under the direction of the Packaging Manager and Packaging Lead in accordance with state laws and regulations and Manoa Botanicals standards. The Packaging Specialist provides support for all packaging activities: including cannabis, cannabis extract, and cannabis-infused products. The Packaging Specialist will also support the Post Processing department with Harvest and Postharvest activities, including the breakdown/processing of live plants and trimming.

CORE JOB DUTIES (includes but not limited to)

Packaging & Labeling:

  • Executes the packaging and labeling procedures for all finished product according to Manoa Botanicals procedures and in compliance with State of Hawaii (and local) laws and regulations
  • Ensures proper packaging and labeling for all products released for sale and delivered to a Manoa Botanicals dispensary.
  • Monitors and manages product weight during packaging, ensuring the product is packaged to specific product weights and guidelines.
  • Specific packaging goals:
    • Product values are based on the amount of grams and units produced within a 30-minute time period.
    • Cannabis: minimum of 210 grams
    • Infused Edibles (e.g lozenges): minimum 40 units
    • Concentrates and Cartridges: minimum 30 units 

Health & Sanitation:

  • Strictly adheres to company’s standard of sanitation and cleanliness
  • Maintains a clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Practices company guidelines in microbial (mold) prevention
  • Maintains proper dress code while directly working with cannabis and cannabis-infused products
    • Packaging Department Dress Code includes:
    • White Lab Coat or Scrubs
    • Hairnet
    • Facemask
    • Gloves
    • All protective lab apparel will be provided by Manoa Botanicals
    • Standard company dress code applies
  • Maintains cleanliness of Packaging Room
    • Sweeping and Mopping

Compliance: 

  • Verifies products are labeled properly with the appropriate label and product information
  • Maintains and follows rules regarding “adulterate” product
  • Adulterate product refers to any product that comes in direct contact with the floor. Rendering it unfit for sale.
  • Follows all Manoa Botanicals and Health Department rules and regulations

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AS REQUIRED 

  • Receiving and putting away packaging deliveries
  • Maintains an organized backroom setting
  • This area includes the exterior container where packaging material is stored
  • Harvesting
    • Participates with all scheduled Harvest events
    • Harvesting includes (but is not limited to) the breakdown and cutting of live plants, de-leafing, and hanging
    • Maintaining facility cleanliness standards pre, during and post-harvest
  • Postprocessing Activities
    • Assists the Postharvest team with the trimming of dried cannabis

POSITION SUMMARY

The Graphic Designer reports to the Marketing Manager and COO. This role will be responsible for applying art, design, and copy layout skills to create visually engaging concepts such as logos, promotional and branding materials, communication media, and other print and digital materials.

  • Selects fonts for written copy; produces sample layout for approval by client or other project participants.
